Describe a busy schedule

Describe a Busy Schedule

Sub-topics: Past Perfect (Grammar), Past participle (verbs), Time expressions.

Busy people ALWAYS have a lot of things to do all day, especially when others add more things to do... For that reason, most people have a schedule to help themselves to put a little more order along their day.

For example, I'm going to describe the agenda of Sebastian Michaelis, a victorian butler:

All the actions were realized in one day, as you can see the grammar is in present, but what if it's now 8:00 PM? So, we are going to describe those activities using past and PAST PARTICIPLE in order to achieve describe a busy schedule.

Describing Sebastian's Busy Schedule:

  • At 9:00 am Sebastian had already woken up, but he hadn't yet made breakfast.
  • At 9:30 am Sebastian had already made breakfast, but he hadn't yet started the preparations for dinner with guests.
  • At 10:30 am Sebastian had already started the preparations for dinner with guests, but he hadn't yet helped Mei to wash the tablecloths.
  • At 12:00 pm Sebastian had already helped Mei to wash the tablecloths, but he hadn't yet helped Finny at garden.
  • At 1:00 pm Sebastian had already helped Finny at garden, but he hadn't yet helped Bard to repair the walls.
  • At 2:30 pm Sebastian had already helped Bard to repair the walls, but he hadn't yet set the tables.
  • At 4:00 pm Sebastian had already set the tables, but he hadn't yet cleaned the dishes.
  • At 5:30 pm Sebastian had already cleaned the dishes, but he hadn't yet cooked the dinner.
  • At 5:50 p Sebastian had already cooked the dinner, but he hadn't yet served the dinner.
  • At 6:00 pm Sebastian had already served the dinner, but the guests hadn't arrived yet.
